I've spent more than three decades serving the people of West Tennessee and Western Kentucky as a paramedic, firefighter, and EMS leader, and I'm honored to also serve as your Fulton City Commissioner. Since taking office in January 2025, I've tried to bring the same priorities that guide my work every day as Deputy Chief of Operations for the Fulton Fire Department and Executive Director of the Fulton County Transit Authority: public safety, infrastructure, responsible budgeting, and code enforcement.

ROOTS IN SERVICE

I was raised in Dresden, Tennessee, where I learned the value of hard work early — building a lawn care business from a single mower at age 13 into roughly 40 regular customers by the time I graduated high school in 1987. That same work ethic has carried me through more than 30 years in emergency medical services and fire response across West Tennessee and Western Kentucky. I later moved to Martin, Tennessee, and in 2020 I settled in Fulton, which I've been proud to call home ever since.

A CAREER BUILT ON PUBLIC SAFETY

I began my EMS career in 1995 and have been fortunate to hold nearly every role along the way — paramedic, supervisor, equipment and inventory manager, quality assurance officer, EMS director, and training program developer — with agencies including Weakley County Ambulance Service, Henry County Medical Center EMS, Air Evac, and Tri-Cities EMS. I joined the Fulton Fire Department in January 2007 and have served the department in multiple capacities since, most recently as Captain and now as Deputy Chief of Operations.

When the local hospital ended its relationship with Tri-Cities EMS in 2017, I was glad to help establish, build, and structure KenTenn EMS as the region's new EMS provider — setting up its operations, policies, and staffing from the ground up. I served as KenTenn EMS's Director of EMS from 2017 to 2022, and in 2019 I also helped build the KenTenn EMS Academy from scratch, developing training policies and recruiting instructors and staff to help keep local and regional EMS agencies fully staffed during an industry-wide workforce shortage. I'm a certified Firefighter I and II, hold FEMA Incident Command System certifications (100–800), and am a licensed paramedic in both Kentucky and Tennessee.

LEADING FULTON'S TRANSIT SYSTEM

My work in public service extends beyond emergency response. I joined the Fulton County Transit Authority's Board of Directors in 2020 and was named the Authority's Executive Director in November 2022, where I oversee daily operations, budgeting, and long-term planning for public transit serving our region.

SERVING AS CITY COMMISSIONER

I was elected to the Fulton City Commission in January 2025, and I also serve on the Fulton County E911 Board of Directors. Since taking office, I've made it a priority to learn every aspect of city government, working closely with the City Manager on policy, ordinances, and operational improvements. My years on the front lines of emergency response and transit administration give me a practical, budget-minded perspective that I try to bring to every issue facing Fulton.

•          Infrastructure — supporting the roads, facilities, and systems Fulton residents rely on every day.

•          Responsible budgeting — applying the same disciplined, accountable approach I use running a public transit agency to the city's finances.

•          Code enforcement — keeping Fulton's neighborhoods safe, orderly, and attractive for residents and businesses alike.

FAMILY & COMMUNITY

Fulton has been my home since 2020. I'm a proud father, and I stay active in the community through my continued volunteer work with local fire and rescue services. It's an honor to serve the community that has given so much to me and my family.
